Hi hello

Hello to the two people who will ever see this!

Welcome to my website, and subsequently, my blog.

My name is Rowan, and I live in North Bay, Ontario with my boyfriend, three cats, two bunnies, and a leopard gecko (and one singular fish who's being remains in question as he quite likes to hide). I completed my BA in History and Religion from Carleton University in April of this year, and began the Publishing Certificate through Ryerson University last month.

My interests include reading, writing, embroidery, weaving, and hiking, among other things. The books I like the most include fantasy, classic lit, and poetry books.

I decided to create a website as a way to market myself as a freelance editor and writer, write some book reviews, and do whatever else I feel might be relevant and potentially useful to my career and/or life. I'm hoping to include a podcast at some point, but that requires a computer functioning at a higher level than my own, some degree of self-confidence, and a significantly lower degree of awkwardness. I guess I'll make some corresponding social media to go along with this, although I'm quite possibly the worst millennial ever when it comes to this stuff.

I will be attempting to juggle this website (although I'm sure that won't be too difficult) alongside my full-time job, finishing the Publishing Certificate program through Ryerson University, and hanging out with my boyfriend and our three cats, two bunnies, and one leopard gecko.
